On 9 May 2026, our Clinicians X Data Scientists symposium took place at Bielefeld University. More than 100 participants from medicine, science, IT and data science came together to discuss current AI applications in healthcare.
The talks covered AI-supported applications in haematology and oncology, faster and more precise epilepsy diagnostics, AI in anaesthesia and intensive care, AI-based analysis of lymphoma histology, AI development at Evangelisches Klinikum Bethel, and ethical aspects of deploying AI in clinical care.
In the second part, Clinician meets Data Scientist, real-world clinical questions were discussed directly with data scientists and initial collaboration ideas were explored.
A detailed summary of the symposium has been published by Evangelisches Klinikum Bethel in their press release (in German). Impressions and photos from the day are also available in our LinkedIn post.
